Remote access via VNC: Rangee Linux offers another option for remote administration via this setting. The abbreviation VNC stands for Virtual Network Control and offers the administrator the option of using a previously defined password, which you enter in the VNC password field, to access the screen content on a remote computer (e.g. under Windows with the help of a VNC viewer). reflect.

The setting Show VNC restart icon allows the user to double-click this icon to ensure that desktop mirroring has ended. By default, these settings are disabled.

Please always use the latest VNC viewer for desktop mirroring. You can download this from the following address: http://www.realvnc.com In addition, there is the option Different VNC port, which you can use to enter a specially defined port instead of the standard port 5900. With the setting Behavior when establishing an external connection via VNC, you determine whether and how the local user should be informed about the desktop mirroring. The following options are available here:

  • Accept The  desktop mirroring will be accepted automatically, without notification of the client user.
  • Show notice The client user get a notification sign, when his desktop mirroring is started. Attention: The Admin can close this message. 
  • Ask for Confirmation The client user must accept the desktop mirroring, before it is started.
