Wenn Sie einen TCMS einsetzen, stellen Sie die Rolle des Thin Clients auf Test, bevor Sie das Update durchführen.

There are the following ways to update a thin client with RangeeOS:

Update from Rangee update server on client

       1. Open SOFTWARE UPDATE in the Client's Kommbox.

       2. Click on UPDATE SERVER SETTINGS

       3. Enter your update server data in the following window. You will receive these from support@rangee.com        

       Protocol: HTTP or HTTPS

       Server: update.rangee.com

       Path: [ USERNAME ]

       Username: [ USERNAME ]

       Password: [ PASSWORD ]

       Confirm with Submit

Now you can install the packages available for your user

Update from TCMS repository

You can also use your TCMS as an update server.

Configure Repository

  1. Navigate to EDIT →  SETTINGS  →  UPSTREAM-REPOSITORY in your TCMS
  2. Enter the following data:

           Scheme:  HTTP or HTTPS

           Host: update.rangee.com

           Path: [ BENUTZERNAME ]

           User: [ BENUTZERNAME ]

           Password: [ PASSWORT ]

           Submit with OK .

Download firmware/software into the TCMS repository:

  1. Click on EDIT →  REPOSITORY
  2. Search an select neccessary firm-/software packages

  3. Click on  ADD

Client updaten

  1. Open SOFTWARE UPDATE in the Client's Kommbox.

      2. Click on UPDATE SERVER SETTINGS and enter these update server data in the following window.:

          Protocol: HTTP

          Server: [ TCMS_IP oder HOSTNAME ]

          Path: /repository/

          Benutzername:leave blank

          Passwort: leave blank

       3. Click on SUBMIT

           Now you can install the packages which are available in your TCMS repository

Warning

Please make sure that your thin client in TCMS is either in the "Test" state or in a group without a stored configuration.

Otherwise, the update will be discarded when restarting.

Updates from internal FTP/HTTP server

  1. Create a directory on your FTP/HTTP server
  2. Create the following folder structure
    1. [ DIRECTORY ]/firmware
    2. [ DIRECTORY ]/software
  3. Download the firmware/software packages from Download Portal
  4. Unzip the downloaded files into the directory so that the following structure is created:

     

  5. Open SOFTWARE UPDATE in the Client's Kommbox.

       6. Click on UPDATE SERVER SETTINGS and enter the following data:

          Protocol: HTTP,HTTPS orFTP

          Server: [ Server-Adresse ]

          Path: [ PFAD_ZUM_UPDATE_VERZEICHNIS ] (optional - if required)

          Username: if required

          Passwort: if required

       7. Click on Submit

Now you can install packages which are available on the internal update server.

Buddy Update

Thin Clients können ebenfalls als Update-Server verwendet werden.

Quell Thin Client

  1. Öffnen Sie die SOFTWARE-AKTUALISIERUNG in der Kommbox des Clients

      2. Klicken Sie auf  UPDATESERVER-EINSTELLUNGEN

      3. Aktivieren Sie "Als Updateserver dienen:"

          Ja: Dient als Update-Server

          Ja, propagieren: Trägt sich beim Ziehen der Konfiguration in das TCMS als Update-Server in die Gruppenkonfiguration ein

      4. Starten Sie den Client neu

Ziel Thin Client

      1. Open SOFTWARE UPDATE in the Client's Kommbox.

      2. Klicken Sie auf  UPDATESERVER-EINSTELLUNGEN und geben Sie die folgenden Daten ein

          Protokoll: HTTP

          Server: Quell Thin Client (Hostname/IP-Adresse)

          Pfad: /update/

          Benutzername: leer lassen

          Passwort: leer lassen

      3. Klicken Sie auf "Übernehmen"

Nun können Sie Pakete installieren welche auf dem Quell Thin Client verfügbar sind
