Required Intermediate Steps for Firmware Downgrade

Information

If you experience issues with our current firmware and software versions, you are welcome to submit them to our Support  at any time.

If a downgrade from a current to an older firmware version is necessary in your environment, please note the following:

  • Downgrade from 11.00 and earlier:
Can be performed in a single step to any firmware/software combination.
  • Downgrade from 12.00:
First, switch to firmware 11.00 with a build > 300. During this downgrade, all installed software modules must be removed. Afterwards, you can switch to any firmware/software combination.
  • Downgrade from 13.00:
A downgrade from 13.00 is generally possible to any firmware 11.00 build > 300. After a downgrade, a reset is recommended. In RangeeOS 13, all relevant configuration options (if possible TPM-supported) are encrypted. Earlier versions cannot decrypt these values and will display only the encrypted text in the corresponding options.
