A profile is a partial configuration for a client. An existing configuration of a group or individual clients can be expanded or modified by assigned profiles.

A profile overwrites a specific part of a configuration when assigned to a group or client. A useful area of application for profiles is to implement a configuration change across groups without editing all group configurations.

A profile takes precedence over the group configuration and overwrites the corresponding values.

Profiles can be assigned to both groups and individual clients. This means that the configuration of an individual client can be changed within a group without having to create a subgroup for the client.

Typical usecases for profiles are

- lefthanded mouse

- Fixed screenresolution

- VNC configuration for desktop mirroring / remote access

- Individual remote desktop connection

To create a profile, go to the configuration tab on the group section and Click on "Create from configuration"

In the configuration sheet, you can mark all items, which should be saved as profile.

Note: When saving the profile, set a name, which describes the function best.

Above the group tree area you find "Profiles" tab.

Profiles can be duplicated, edited and deleted. If existing profiles must be replaced with new profiles, which have different settings, it is also possible to add a replacement rule.
