Here you can make general settings regarding printer drivers and printers for this Thin Client.

Local printer database

Manufacturer: If any printer drivers are installed on this Thin Client, you can choose the corresponding manufacturer of each of them, in case you want to make changes to the driver. However, you additionally need to select the appropriate driver via the next drop-down menu labeled Available local drivers.

Available local drivers: If any printer drivers are installed on this Thin Client and you have chosen an appropriate Manufacturer via the previous drop-down menu, you can choose among the currently installed local drivers of that manufacturer to select the one you want to make changes to.

Reset local driver configuration: If you enable this setting and then click on the Confirm button in the lower right corner afterwards, all currently available local printer drivers will be deleted. Disabled by default.

Upload new printer driver: If you are accessing this menu via a remote connection, clicking on the button labeled Browse... allows you to browse the local hard drives of the computer, with which you are accessing the Thin Client, for any available printer drivers to upload them to the Thin Client.

Delete uploaded driver: Allows you to select any of the drivers for deletion that have previously been uploaded with the above option.

Printer Network Configuration

Please do not attempt to change any values belonging to the fields labelled Bandwidth, Packet size, Maximum number of attempts and Port if you are not entirely sure what you are doing.

Bandwidth: Lets you define the maximum bandwidth that should be reserved for print jobs via the network. The value needs to be stated as integer in bits per second (b/s). The default value is 256000.

Packet size: Lets you define the maximum packet size that should be used for print jobs via the network. The value needs to be stated as integer in bits. The default value is 8192.

Maximum number of attempts: Lets you define the maximum number of attempts to send a print job via the network. If this number of attempts is reached, the print job will be cancelled. The value needs to be stated as integer. The default value is 100.

Port: If you are using another port for network printing than the default one, you can enter the appropriate port into this field. The value needs to be stated as integer. The default value is 4000.

Share printers via Samba: Enabling this settings allows to forward any network printers that can be accessed by this Thin Client to be forwarded into its Samba sessions. Disabled by default.

Hosts with printer access rights: Lists the hostnames of all devices in the network that are granted access rights to the network print services.

Ignore TCMS settings: If you want the Thin Client to ignore TCMS settings regarding printer configuration, you can enable this setting. TCMS settings can be found under  Remote Administration -> TCMS Settings . Disabled by default.
